/// Security contact  ·  one per institution

Register a security contact.

Tell us the monitored role address we should notify when we see something affecting your institution — plus a named human we can reach if the shared mailbox goes quiet. We verify every registration out-of-band before it goes live.

§ Why a registered contact

01

Compromise notifications reach a monitored role address, not whoever emailed us last.

02

A named human fallback means we still get through when the shared mailbox is quiet.

03

A phone number lets us reach you the same day when a case is time-critical.

§ Registration

Your institution’s security contact

Fields marked * are required. This creates apending registration; a CSIRT handler verifies it out-of-band before it becomes the notification address on record. Never include passwords or private keys — a PGP public key id or URL is fine.

Fields marked * are required.

Search the list of accredited Ghanaian tertiary institutions and pick yours, so names stay consistent. Not listed? Just type your institution’s full official name.

We recommend a shared, monitored role mailbox (e.g. security@your-institution.edu.gh) so notifications survive staff changes — but a personal address is fine. This is where notifications go.

Fallback human

Someone we can reach directly if the role mailbox is unattended.

A public key only — never paste a private key.

By submitting you consent to GARNET CSIRT storing these details to notify your institution about security incidents.
